AIA Standard.stb plot style printing some color

The AIA Standard.stb plot style is supposed to be a monochrome plot style, but several objects in both paper space and model space print in color anyway and print in color on multiple plotter/printers even when the plotter/printer is set to monochrome. Any ideas how to force the drawing to plot in monochrome? What am I overlooking?

If you have objects that are assigned the plot style "Normal", they'll most
likely plot in color. "Normal" cannot be edited, so in the AIA layer
standard that accompanies ADT, and in the default display control settings,
NOTHING is assigned to "Normal". But if you have an object that perhaps
originated in another drawing and was assigned a plot style that is not
listed in the AIA Standard.stb plot style, it will automatically be assigned
"Normal".

Do a search first in Layer Manager and sort on the plot style column. If you
see "Normal" listed there for anything, change it to one of the AIA
Standard.stb plot styles. After that if you still have objects plotting in
color, select them one at a time and check their display settings for that
particular view, paying attention, once again, to the plot style column.

I'm having a similar problem and I tried the suggestion, but in my plot styles in Layer Manager none of the layers say "Normal", the all have a color assigned. It still plots in color. when I got to the display properties I still didn't see anything that said normal for plot styles. Also, my round objects are plotting blocky.

If your plot styles all have a "color" assigned, then you are likely in a drawing that uses color-dependent plot styles [CTB extension], not named plot styles [STB extension].

What plot style table are you using? Is it one of the out-of-the-box plot style tables, or is it a custom one of your own devising?

This should be marked 'solution' to this problem. Thank you!
