ADT 2004 SP2...

Hello:

I've been installing ADT 2004 SP2 on a series of machines in the office
here, and it takes up to 25 minutes to install! Why such poor performance?
And why does the install require only 1 CD on some machines, both on others,
or disk 1, disk 2, then disk 1 again on other machines?

If there is an SP3, please consider revamping the install code to improve
the install time.

ADT2004 installation image is 1 gb in size...
(LT2004 is 150 mb)

Yes...we know about this. 😞 It is due to the way the Microsoft installer
we use handles things. The problem, as it has been described to me, is
because we 10,000+ files...approx half which is related to content that the
installer feels the need to validate one by one even though they are not
part of the patch.

The good news is that we hope to have a resolution to this for the next big
release of ADT.
