Hello aaron law,
actually I do not recomment to change these settings, rather buy a better mouse.
But if you are insisting to change the settings you can do this in the general preferences unter the tab Input.
or you can change it under preferences/selection options.
If you want to change the the Marking menue you can do this by pressing the shift and control button and the left mouse button there is a tap called <edit Marking Menue> select the option box next to it. A new window opens, there you can change what you want.
BUT AGAIN I DO NOT RECOMMENT TO DO THIS. Just imagine someone else has to work on your computer they will not be able to work with your settings. Or the other way around you are comming to a company and you are supposed to work there, you will not be able to work there anymore, because you are used to different settings.
I had this kind of experience and we decided afterwards not to hire this freelancer anymore. Because it was too much trouble to get back to normal setings.
kind regards
Rüdiger
