Windows 2000 new user

Autosketch 7 works normally when the user is logged on as administrator. When I create a new account
with simple User privileges, I get a error message when I start AS7. The message reads: "Failed to
update registry. Please try using REGEDIT." Is there a remedy? Can AS7 only be run by an
administrator?

No it can be used as a power user also. It really does not have to do
with Autosketch however but the rights that Windows 2000 assigns to it's
user's.
A user cannot write to the registry in order to use the product. They
have assigned the power user to be able to do so and of course an
administrator as well.
Change the security settings so you have power user rights and then
Autosketch will open and run for you.

Thanks, Dan! You are quite right! I think the inability of the User Group to write to the Registry
is imposing limits on other apps as well.
