Saving as a TIFF in AS 9 and 10 without a border

I have recently had the need to save drawings from AutoSketch as TIFF, primarily but not exclusively, to import in word processing applications such as WordPerfect. Executing the Save As (TIFF) process is a fairly simple matter and the Options are nice.

However, I find that that after the TIFF image is imported into WordPerfect, it has a thin black border on the left and top sides. (Interestingly, the same border shows up when the JPG format is used.)

I know that the border is part of the TIFF image since I can crop the original exported TIFF image and import to WordPerfect and the left and top border is gone. I use WordPerfect to view the image for 2 reasons: 1) this is one of my ultimate uses for the file, and 2) when looking at the image in an editor, such as PhotoShop Elements, the border is difficult to see since the palette behind the white image is black and can conceal the border. The (background) page fro the image in WordPerfect is white and the border readily shows up.

I tried exporting a TIFF from AS 9 and AS 10 and they both behave this way.

Any solution to saving the image from AutoSketch with no border?

Hi

As another alternate to saving as tiff. Try this:
1. Print the drawing from AS to pdf. Install a free pdf driver like cutepdf.
2. Open the pdf of the drawing.
3. Zoom out till you can see the whole drawing.
4. Use the snapshot tool to select the drawing click and drag a window over the drawing.
5. Zoom to say 400% hit ctrl c to copy the selected area.
6. Goto word, or word perfect,
7. Rt click paste , try to paste as a emf (enhanced meta file) or wmf (window meta file)
8. format the pasted picture to the size you need in the document.

This might give you a better looking image.
