    Importing DWG files

I just purchased AutoSketch Release 7, and I'm unable to use dwg files that are emailed to me. I can see the drawings in the preview window, but when I try to open them I only get a blank screen.

Hope someone will be able the straighten me out.

    Thanks,

    Charlie,
First Zoom Way out and "drag" the whole area to see if you can highlight
something. Maybe all of the lines match the color of your screen.

If not, Try different Video Drivers. Sketchis touchy that way...........

Just in case: If the dimensions are in millimeters, you may have to ask
the originator to convert them before you can open it.

There's a bug around this in AS7. Those may be the symptoms.

The other thing: When the drawing is opened, press [Ctrl]+E. The E is
for Extent. You should see the entire drawing then.

And like Chris said, make sure you drawing color doesn't match your
    screen background.

After opening the drawing file either try a view / extents or go into
the Tools/ Drawing Options menu to the Scale tab. You will see a
Autoscale function there. Left click on it and it will then scale the
drawing to fit on the current page settup.
