Creating degrees in vers6

I have tried creating a degree symbolusing themethod suggested by
Autosketch web site, ie. Apply number lock,press and hold ALT key and
then press 0,1,7, and 6 on numeric pad, then release ALT key.
All I get is a long string of 6s.
Can anyone help please?

You can also keep the Character Map on the task bar. It doesn't use much
resource. There are many symbols there you might want to try. Just a
click and you have any of them on your clipboard for multiple use.

The Character Map in W98 is in
Programs>Accessories>SystemTools/CharacterMap

Even more reliable is to open up Character Map from the start menu (Should
be under accesories) make sure the font is set to symbol, find the degree
symbol, select it and copy it, then paste into AS/QC and hey presto!
