AutoSketch

Hi there:

One of the reasons I bought Autosketch was I assumed that there would be a
demo file of the boat on the cover of the box, the book and within the
menus.

My ulterior motive was that my boat is similar and I would not have a steep
learning curve making a set of plans for my own boat.

So where can I beg, borrow or steal the file showing the boat.

It came with 2.1, someone with that version could send it to you. Sorry,
I'm running 6.01.

I would suggest that to see a demo of a boat that looks like yours will not
necessarily help you over the learning curve any faster than to jump right in
and start drawing. If you're having trouble getting started, you might want to
check out a file in the Customer Files area called Getting Started. You can pick
up this group from http://www.autodesk.com/support/discsgrp/design.htm at the
bottom. Then try getting Paul Jackson's book, Hands On A House. Excellent
starting manual. And do the tutorial that came with the software. That's a good
starting point for becoming confused.

You should be able to start drawing that boat right away. At least the bits and
pieces for which you might have sketches or plans.

Also, by all means post any questions you have here. They'll get answered by
some loud-mouth or other. In a week the boat will be done and you'll be looking
for other reasons to use the software.
