Thanks for your prompt reply. You have to forgive my views because I
spent the last 25+ years working for ICL in software development,
product support and marketing roles in which we made every effort to
meet customer needs and support our products.

Pride? Me? Can I quote that one to my boss? After the week I had last
week, pride was the least of my wories. Ah well, it's a Monday morning and
a clean sheet, maybe things'll be good to me this week, especially as I've
only got 4 working days left before we shut up shop for Christmas!

The beauty of java is that the applet is run locally on the page viewers
machine and hence allows access to what your computer thinks the time is for
whatever zone it's in. I have the code kicking about somewhere if anyone is
interested.

Just want to add my support for V7 to be upgraded to Xp.

What is the cost to upgrade to v8 if that is the only option I have?

I guess it's just as well I never upgraded from 6.0. It's worked fine on several different XP boxes....
