I use AS6 and sometimes am required to provide AutoCAD .DWG files with hard
copies of my drawings. I am having problems with the text conversion. I
normally use Comic Sans TTF on my drawings and that doesn't open well in
AutoCAD. It converts it to some wide aspect generic text that doesn't fit. I
have tried to convert my text to AutoCAD fonts before I save as .DWG but
that seems to change the aspect as well when they try to open the DWG.
Does some one know what the cleanest text, or process, is to use in AS6 so
that .DWG's open up in AutoCAD the way I intended it? I don't want to give
up my favorite ttfonts in AS6.
Does AutoCAD LT. open TTF?

I use two fonts that transfer reasonably well. Arial works well. The other
font is from a customer, Graphite Lite ATT. Text gets a bit longer but I plan
for it when I am doing my drawing.

I hate to say this but if you need to transfer to AutoCAD often you may want to
get AUtoCAD LT. You can then open the DWG, purge, audit, check text, etc. I
used to get complaints about my DXF and DWG years ago. I would argue the
problem was their system and they would say it was mine. After I got LT, I went
through all the different oddities and can now verify that a DWG is good.

Now if someone calls saying there is a problem with my DWG, I can say with
confidence, "There is no problem with my DWG file, it opens fine in AutoCAD.
The problem must be that two-bit CAD software you are using."
