Ever since I bought AutoCAD for Mac I have noticed that when I generate a pdf, it looks very different when I view it in Preview on a Mac versus viewing it in Acrobat Reader on a Windows machine. This has caused some difficulty in ordering prints from my reprographics vendor, and in sharing pdfs with the design team that is primarily Windows.
My reprographics vendor processes the pdf through a program called Reprodesk that I believe is only Windows based. The prints come out okay, but some of the linework, especially the lineweights and screening do not match what I see on-screen in preview.
The same is true for windows users. The pdfs I generate do not look like the do in Preview.
Is there any way to fix this?
Thank you.
