Autocad 2012 for mac Education version will not open

Hi there
I am running a Lion on Macbook Pro 13 inch. 2.7gHz i7 dual core, 8GB RAM.
I own Autocad 2012 for mac and when i try and start it the icon just jumps up and down while the loading screen appears. This then disappears and nothing happens?

anyone know whats going on?
