I have had autocad 2011 on my computer for months now, and all of a sudden i click on the icon, it bounces up and down a couple of times, the main autodesk sign comes up saying "loading" then it goes away, the icon stops bouncing and it wont open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it twice and nothing is working. I am working on 10.6.6 OS and I am on a macbook 6.1. Someone PLEASE help me, i was using my autocad a week ago and it was fine.

Hi,
Please try the steps below to see if it can fix.
1) Execute Remove AutoCAD.
2) Uncheck 'Leave AutoCAD preferences on my computer' and then finish the uninstall process.
3) Re-install AutoCAD for Mac 2011. Launch it.
Hope this can solve your issue.

Could you tell what you see in Console.app ("All messages" database on the left pane selected) when you try to launch AutoCAD?

Ive actually got the same problem.... I typed 'PLOT' in AutoCAD 2011 (Apple Mac) intending to save my drawing as a PDF, when it suddenly shut down with an Error Report. It has been almost a week and I still cannot open AutoCAD. (?)

Hi,
I’m student in Spain; I’m correctly registered in the community. (user Jogojoe)
I have used AutoCAD for Mac 2011 in home (iMac) since several months without problems. I had serial number and Activation Product key for the free student version.
Recently, I bought a MacBook Pro and I have tried to install the same software with same version.
The installation has happened without problems, but some weeks later the software (in both computers) demanded to download a path, I did it… After that, NOTHING! The BOTH computers refuses to start AutoCAD…
I tried to uninstall and reinstall (without patch), no way.
So I download the new version (2012) in my MacBook and he is functioning correctly but I can not activate it, I only have this message:
"AutoCAD 2012 for Mac (English).
We apologize, we are temporarily out of serial numbers for this product. You may download and install the 30 day trial version. Return to this page prior to or at the expiration of your 30 day trial to obtain your serial number for activation”
Questions:
How I resolve the problem with AutoCad 2011 (in my iMac)?
How I can Activate my Autocad 2012 (in my MacBook) before finish the 30 trial days?

Hi person from spain. I had a 12 month student licence for AutoCAD 2011 on my PC. When I bought an Apple MacBook Pro, I had to download the Apple Mac version of AutoCAD from the Autodesk website. The Mac and PC versions are slightly different.
As for the activation code, Im not sure what the message is that you are recieving, but you would normally recieve an activation code in your email.
Regards Kara
ps: Thanks Maxim - everythings working well now ![]()

Hi, I have been having a lot of problems with my student version of AutoCad 2011 for Mac, so I have followed the advice here and uninstalled the software. I know this is probably a silly question, but how do I now re-install AutoCad???
