Hi all,

I’d like to let you know that Update 3 was officially released just a few minutes ago.

This update resolves compatibility issues that have been reported while using the software on the latest versions of Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and Mac OS X Lion. It also resolves problems reported by the Customer Error Reporting (CER) utility and other general problems identified after AutoCAD 2011 for Mac Update 2 was made available.

I've had massive issues where AutoCAD 2011 crashes consistently. I installed all 3 updates, in the correct order but that didn't help solve the probelm. :-(

I'm using a Mac Mini 5,2:

Processor  2.5 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory  8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics  AMD Radeon HD 6630M 256 MB

Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 (11C74)

I want to add that AutoCAD 2011 was working pretty much ok with Lion 10.7.1... is it possible that there was a background change in 10.7.2 that has caused an issue? If so, is there a workaround? Would reinstalling Java help at all?

Completely unusable.  I don't know if 10.7.2 is the issue or not, as I didn't try installing the patch until after I was already upgraded to 10.7.2.  Guess we sit and wait for Update 4, if that ever arrives...

I found a problem with update 3 on a 10.6.8 machine: AutoCAD rised CPU usage to 100% even when idle. However, I closed AutoCAD and started it again, with the same file, and now CPU usage seems right.

Not sure of what could have caused this, nor how to reproduce it.

I am running Mac 10.7.2, installed all updates both Mac and Autocad, AC crashes every time I try to open it, This is super frustrating... The autocad credit window opens then a few seconds go by and it closes then nothing for 5 secsonds then the autocad problem window opens saying teh program quit while opening and sends a report to Autodesk.

any help  is appreciated.
