I've been using AutoCAD for ten years and have been able to figure out just about everything by googling and reading boards. Now I am stumped. I understand the concept of model/paper space but I can't seem to figure out how to set up a layout. I can setup the view ports but they display the extents of the drawings. I change the scale but can't figure out how to pan around in the drawing to pick exactly what I want to display in the viewport. For example, I do residential design. I want a layout that shows a front elevation and another to show the floor plan. This would be for a handout and the scale would be about 3/32=1'. Can someone guide me to a basic tute to walk me through the steps from beginning to end? Thanks. I'm using AutoCAD LT10.
