hallo maxim,
6 weeks ago I updated to AutoCAD14, after which the program felt slower. When I tried to copy and paste something in a AutoCAD drawing, ac broke down.
I send the problem report to the AutoCAD online support and they told me that this problem had never occurred before and they would try to fix it with the next update. Since then I am waiting for the update. Then it got even worse, when I updated my firmware to 10.9, after that AutoCAD didn’t launch at all.
I de-installed AutoCAD completely, and reinstalled it, but AutoCAD 14 is still not working at all and AutoCAD 13 cannot handle some of my files (crashes when copy and pasting).
I don’t know what to do anymore. Can you please help me?
robert
Hello Robert,
Personally I don't have such issues (problems with copy-pasting) with AC 2014 installed on my Mac under 10.8.5.
Does all your DWG files was created in plain AutoCAD (Mac or Windows version)? Or the drawings with such problems came from another source? Maybe they was created with one of AutoCAD for windows verticals?
Now about AC 2014 under 10.9:
As I understand it doesn't launch at all when you click on AC icon in the Dock.
If it is true, than could you provide exception from System log at the moment when you are trying to launch AutoCAD? You can see it in Console.app
As I understand, AC 2013 still works under 10.9 on your Mac, but you have problems with copy-paste in it too. Have you installed SP2 for AC 2013, which resolves compatibility issues with 10.9? And again - about files you are using: the same question as in the first part of my message.

My Autocad 2014 student version is slow in mac book pro i7 os x 10.9,
Should I instal autocad 2013?
Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!
Hi,
Could you provide hardware details of your MacBook?
How complex are DWG files you are working with? (2D or 3D, a lot of Hatches or text/dimension objects, etc.)
Which way AutoCAD is slow? (slow graphics, slow command response...)
Does AutoCAD is slow even with simple 2D files?
