Can you please try the solution listed in the following forum thread, specifically repair of the access rights on the respective volume with Disk Utility followed by an uninstall and reinstallation.

I followed the instructions in the thread you referred me to. I was still unable to install AC '13. Do I need to install AC '12 first? I'm downladed a trial version.

Hi,

Which installer (DMG file) you are using? Could you provide the name of DMG file you are using?

Of course, you don't need to install 2012 version first in order to be able to install 2013.

Yes it is correct installer.
If the solution with repairing permissions did not help you, could you try to create new account on your Mac with administrative privileges and start installation from this new account?

Hi,

I also have the same problem.  I'm using the correct installer, I have tried repairing disk permissions and also tried installing on a new account with admin rights....no joy!

Has anyone found a fix for this yet?  It's very annoying!

I have tried the most up to date installer without any luck.

Any advice appreciated!
