Project Manager - Copy to New Project messes up Layout Name & Number

Hi there - trying to set up a project manager & sheet files to use as a project template. When we create a new project from the template, then try to copy layouts to new project it somehow takes the layout number and adds it to the layout name, leaving the layout number field blank. This is rather unhelpful. Has anyone else found this, or a solution? Bug?

Hi,

have you checked these settings?

  • Name Synchronization.Controls the renaming of drawing (DWG) files and layouts when changing the name and numbers of a layout in the Project Manager.
    • Layout Title. When checked, renaming a layout in the Project Manager changes the layout name in the drawing (DWG) file.
    • Prefix with Layout Number. When checked, renaming a layout in the Project Manager changes the layout name in the drawing (DWG) file to a new name that prefixes the layout title with the layout number (<number> <title>).
    • Drawing Title. When checked, renaming a layout in the Project Manager changes both the drawing (DWG) file and layout names.
    • Prefix with Layout Number. When checked, renaming a layout in the Project Manager changes both the drawing (DWG) file and layout names to a new name that prefixes the layout title with the layout number (<number> <title>).
