Plotting Hidden Viewports in B/W?

Hi,

Been working on a 3d model and I'm ready to plot, but the only thing is that it won't let me print with my plotstye setting.  I have 5 vp, 4 which I want in monochrome and 1 in colour.  All vps are set as plan, front, sides and isometric view with the rendering option of hidden with the shade plot to conceptual.  When I select all vp and select the shade plot to hidden then it prints monchrome, but with no fill which is not what I want.  Anyone know what I can do to get this plotting the way I need?

Hi Trang,

You have to play with VSEDGECOLOR system variable.

In attached DWG I created custom visual style "Monochrome hidden" based on Hidden Visual Style with VSEDGECOLOR=7. I assign True color colors to the objects and use monochrome.ctb in Page Setup:

Tried to do this, but the custom visual style is greyed out in both model and paper space and won't let me select it?

Did you open attached file?

On my Mac custom visual style is not grayed out:

To create custom VS you have to set one of the predefined VS, change variable (VSEDGECOLOR in this case), then call -VISUALSTYLES command and give a name to your Visual style via Save option of this command:

Command: VSEDGECOLOR
Enter new value for VSEDGECOLOR <"BYENTITY">: 7
Command: -VISUALSTYLES
Enter an option [set Current/Saveas/Rename/Delete/?]: s
Save current visual style as or [?]: Monochrome edge
Command:

Hi Maxim,

I did open your file and it is not greyed out.  However, when I start a new file or any of my existing it is greyed out.  See attached image.

I also tried the VSEDGECOLOR and -VISUALSTYLE commands as you mentioned, but it still prints out in colour. See attached images.
