Pan with Magic Mouse

Is there a way I can access Pan directly on my mouse without having to use a hotkey first?

In my last Windows version all I needed to do for Pan was to hold the left mouse button down.

Hi,

You can use middle (not left) mouse button for pan in AutoCAD if
MBUTTONPAN=1 (default value). But for this the middle button of your mouse
should be supported on System level. If you are using Magic Mouse, you can
use MagicPrefs application to enable "middle" click for Magic Mouse.

Have you looked at using the trackpad as well, I use a combination of magic mouse & trackpad an I find it works very well. You could also try an app called "MagicPrefs", this has loads of options for customising the Apple mouse.
