Materials disappearing after moving the object - AutoCAD 2014 for Mac

Hi guys!

I'm a total beginner in AutoCAD and I'm trying to learn using websites and tutorials. I looked everywhere carefully and couldn'y find the answer to my problem. I make a polyline on the box in 3D modeling mode. Then I make a region out of the polyline and try to add the materials. The material appears but as soon as I move the object it's gone.

When I click "render" in the menu it doesn't show either.

I saw a message regarding earlier, windows version here: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/archive/index.php/t-4397.html but I can't find in my Mac version anything like system properties or render properties. Could you please help me?

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

I can not reproduce this on my side, when I move region with materials attached - the materials stay in place

>>>When I click "render" in the menu it doesn't show either.

I have no problems here too.

In order to see materials in drawing area you need to set current Visual Style Realistic or X-ray - they both have "Show materials and textures" option turned ON. For Other Visual Styles you can set properties for Materials in Properties inspector (when nothing selected in the drawing):

Which version of AutoCAD you are using?
Please specify also OS installed on your Mac.

You can post here your drawing, I'll look at it.
