LT 2013 Pan Tool Delay

Can anyone explain the two to three second delay I experience in AutocadLT 2013 for mac when I hold down the spacebar to acquire the pan tool? Is there a way to make the pan tool appear immediately upon pressing the space bar? Or is there another keyboard shortcut I can use for pan that will eliminate the delay?

HI,

if you are not inside some command, you can type P and hit Return (or Spacebar) to call PAN command.

Inside command you can use middle mouse button to pan transparency,
