Hi,
LAYDEL and it's functionality command is not available in AC for Mac.
PURGE command in AC for Mac has only command line interface, you can not use dialog box unfortunately...
Sometimes I also can not delete Layer (or move Layer objects to another Layer) with AutoCAD for Mac functionality by dragging Layer from Layers palette. And I get the same dialog as you about objects inside block definition.
I have found that if I have dimension object(s) on the layer, that I want to delete - I can not delete such layer, because dimensions treated by AutoCAD as blocks, plus arrows in dimensions are also blocks, and AutoCAD for Mac can not move dimension objects to another layer when you drag off layer from Layers palette.
Moving all dimension objects to another layer, or deleting them helps me in this case.

Hi Maxim
I too am trying to rid my base drawings of layers brought in on a block. How can I do this? I have editted every block in the drawing and put all its layers on the layer I want to keep, but still get the message that these layers on in a block. Why why why did they make the Mac AutoCad so user unfriendly??
Thanks for your help!
Mindy
Hi Mindy,
it may depend on the file itself, sometimes I can not get rid of some layers in the file.
But you may try -WBLOCK command with "*" option to write whole drawing to new DWG file.

The -WBLOCK command worked for me! I did this and saved as a new file name, when I opened the new file all of the layers that previously said they couldn't be deleted were gone. Thank you for the help!
@ katherine.fishburne,
Thanks for posting what worked for you and what helped.
I don't know if the OP will be back to this thread but I'm sure other users who might be in a simialr issue will find this helpful.
Thanks for sharing! 🙂
