I am a new user of AutoCAD having been using Inventor Fusion for a while now, but I needed to print off my files as 2D manufacturing drawings.
I am having trouble making an object large enough to see on print, but not chanigng its dimensions. Whenever I try to scale the object the dimensions change even if I set them to annotative. I have looked at simillar post's regarding this topic but I am having trouble understanding them. I am using AutoCAD 2013.
I have attached the file that I am trying to modify if it is any help in solving my problem.

You don't need to use Annotative dimension style in this case, as annotative feature changes only size of the elements of dimension itself (text height, arrow size, etc.) furthermore, the use of annotative dimension style in Layout does not make sense, as the print scale in Layout is always 1:1.
In order to set "right" dimensions for scaled objects you have to set scale factor on Primary units tab of dimension style. For example I scaled your detail 4 times, then I change scale factor in Dim Style to 1/4=0.25.
I attached resulting DWG with detail scaled 4 times and with new Dim Style "ISO-25 x4"
