Freezing Layer in current viewport DOESN'T WORK!!!! (the shortcut key at least!)

Okay...so for my 3rd serious issue with autoCAD for MAC...

When you use the little shortcut icon key with the snowflake on it that is a HUGE addition to autoCAD in the past 12 years...it will lock it BUT locks that layer in EVERY VIEWPORT TAB!!! SO.....say you freeze a proposed dock in your survey file...then go to the proposed sheet it will be frozen so you unlock it...BUT then you go BACK to your survey file AND IT IS AGAIN THERE!!! unless you click on the vp lock in layer dialoge box!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

When you use LAYFRZ command (shortcut icon key with the snowflake) for the first time in AC for Mac you have to configure it to use for VPFreeze:

Command: _LAYFRZ
Current settings: Viewports=Freeze, Block nesting level=Block
Select an object on the layer to be frozen or [Settings/Undo]S
Enter setting type for [Viewports/Block selection]V
In paper space viewport use [Freeze/Vpfreeze] <Freeze>: Vpfreeze
Select an object on the layer to be frozen or [Settings/Undo]

Then you will be able to freeze layer only in current viewport.

The setting remains in AutoCAD until you change it.

Thank you....why wouldn't this just work from the start? Kind of like selecting multiple objects isn't already preset....this strikes me as extremely strange?
