Hi,
I am unable to modify print prefferences due to the "Edit Page Setup" box failing to appear. The app runs as if the dialog is present (can't edit and menu bar is greyed out, but the box is nowhere to be found.
- Edit Page Set-up...: The print dialog shows up, but when I select the "Edit Page Setup..." button the app runs in a mode as if the box is there but it can't be seen. Hitting escape brings me back to the original print dialog box.
Things I've explored with no succes:
- checked all spaces
- hidden or closed all other windows
- permission repair
- tried on multiple dwg files
- Clean Screen mode
- hide all pallettes
- rebooting
-reinstalling Autocad
HELP!
Any thoughts?
Thank you in Advance,
Sidra

Ok, finally I just get it reinstalling Autocad with the "Leave Autocad preferences on my computer" deactivated.
Thank u.
and i can not find the above mentioned file,
i really dont like this error, I mean AutoCAD is superb programm, but why they keep such bugs, why they bring Version 2013 when 2012 is not running smoth? I dont get it!
Hi,
Have you tried to reinstall "with the "Leave Autocad preferences on my computer" deactivated" in remove AutoCAD dialog?
Maxim
Yes! it has something to do with the file which i get from my university, because in this file is a printer/plotter saved, which i dont have.
so wenn i try to print the this file i get the following error:
"DWF6 ePlot.pc3: This plotter configuration cannot be used for one of these reasons: the driver cannot be found, the device cannot be found, or the driver has a problem. The default plot device has been substituted."
and page setup freezes
after a reset (deleting all prefernces) it works fine, until i open a file where a other printer is saved.
Hi gabriel,
What printer(s) do you have installed in OS X System preferences? And which one is default?
Maxim
Hi Gabriel,
I have tried to edit Page Setup in a DWG file saved in Windows version of AutoCAD with "DWF6 ePlot.pc3" printer saved with Page Setup. (I also installed Canon Pixma IP4600 printer and made it current)
So after AutoCAD alert -
"DWF6 ePlot.pc3: This plotter configuration cannot be used for one of these reasons: the driver cannot be found, the device cannot be found, or the driver has a problem. The default plot device has been substituted."
- I can print, edit Page Setup, etc. and all of print related dialogs shows correctly. (the only difference is in OS version - I have 10.6.8)
I think in your case something is wrong with these dialogs (they are "hidden" for unknown reasons) and I have seen here at Forums reports from members, that reinstalling AutoCAD with resetting user preferences helps to resolve such issue.

Thank you for your answer, and to tkae time and try it with your PC!!
i reinstalled AutoCAD now, since then it is working correct, we'll see what happens in the future!
I tried uninstalling AutoCAD and reinstalling it. I did not find the option to "Leave Autocad preferences on my computer" when I reinstalled. I reinstalled and the "Edit Page Setup" dialogue box is still nowhere to be found, and i cannot do anyting except esc as it seems this window is hiding, but I don't know where. One forum said to find the hidden dialogue box, ha! It's nowhere.
I also cannot find the file com.autodesk.AutoCAD.R18.2.ACAD-A032.409.plist file in ~/Library/Preferences/ folder to delete or move to Desktop as one person recommended in this forum.
This is taking a lot of time and I still have no solution. Please help!
@Anonymous wrote:I tried uninstalling AutoCAD and reinstalling it. I did not find the option to "Leave Autocad preferences on my computer" when I reinstalled....
It is on the second window of "Remove AutoCAD" application.
For 2012:
For 2013:
Don't forget to check for Updates after reinstallation. This issue with Page Setup dialog should be fixed with last updates.

We fixed this issue in the released AutoCAD 2013 for Mac SP1. So if you still see this issue, please check if you have installed the SP1. You can click from menu AutoCAD 2013 and select Check for Updates to check and download the latest service pack. If you are offline, you can check in the About AutoCAD dialog, with SP1 the product version should be G.55.M.108.
Of course, please also let us know if you still see the issue with SP1 patched.
I have this problem even after installing the service pack. Sadly, it seems that Auto CAD for Mac is still not functional when it comes to printing or creating pdfs...
