Custom keyboard shortcuts for Autocad Mac

Hi, everybody! If there is a way to enter custom shortcuts to the commands or change them in the Autocad for Mac menu?

Appreciate any info.

Hi euggenk,

You can edit command aliases (menu Tools -> Customize -> Edit Command Aliases (PGP)...) with TextEdit. Format for alias (eg "shortcut"):

"Command alias format:
 <Alias>,*<Full command name>
The following are guidelines for creating new command aliases.
1. An alias should reduce a command by at least two characters. Commands with a control key equivalent, status bar button, or function key do not require a command alias.
Examples: Control N, O, P, and S for New, Open, Print, Save.
2. Try the first character of the command, then try the first two, then the first three.
3. Once an alias is defined, add suffixes for related aliases:
Examples: R for Redraw, RA for Redrawall, L for Line, LT for Linetype.
4. Use a hyphen to differentiate between command line and dialog box commands.
Example: B for Block, -B for -Block."

For more - read in Help System and inside ACAD.PGP file.

After you make changes to PGP file - save it, exit TextEdit, and in AutoCAD select "Tools -> Customize -> Reload Command Aliases (PGP).

HTH

Maxim

Oh, yeah, it is pretty clear and does not differ from autocad for Win. I meant in my question, how can I customize keyboard shortcuts inside cui. I can wright disel string or lisp, but besides, I want to be able to assign a keyboard shortcut to a new command. If someone knows the way to do it?

Appreciate for your help....

Maybe this right for you?

Creating shortcuts for custom commands in AutoCAD for MAC

EDIT: In my experience in this version of AutoCAD - it is impossible to change the standard keyboard shortcuts for AutoCAD commands in pull-down menu.

Thank you a lot. I'll try. Hope this will also help me to overwrite Autocad shortcuts. During last 20 years I have built  in Windows a great some of shortcuts, which are also associated with lisp routines.

Hi,

Your problem doesn't related to shortcuts, you have to change PICKFIRST system variable to 1 (default).

At the command prompt type:

Command: PICKFIRST                (hit Return)
Enter new value for PICKFIRST <0>: 1              (hit Return)
