1.) I got rid of my old Mac, which had a purchased AutoCAD LT 2013 loaded onto it. All programs including ACLT 2013 were removed.
2.) Just bought a new Mac (OSX10.9 Mavericks), and downloaded the AutoCAD LT 2013 software from the AutoDesk website. I would have used my original CD, but the new Mac Mini does not have a CD drive.
3.) Everything seems to load, register, etc., but when I start the program, I get an error window with the Autodesk logo saying "A software problem has caused AutoCAD LT to close unexpectedly." I tried uninstalling and starting over....but keep coming back to the same problem.
Any ideas??
thank you!!

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!
Hi,
Have you used Migration assistant, Time Machine or other backup/cloning software to migrate your account (settings, applications) to the new Mac?
Probably you need to reset standalone license for AutoCAD.
At first - uninstall AutoCAD with "Remove AutoCAD LT" application (don't forget to un-check "leave my preferences" option on the second window during removing AutoCAD).
Than follow this article:
http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles...
or "illustrated" guide here:
http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2013/02/reset-standalone-licensing-on-the-mac.html
in order to reset existing license information on your Mac, then you need to activate AutoCAD again with your serial.
Than you can install AutoCAD again, don't forget also to install SP2 for AutoCAD LT 2013 for Mac:

It worked...thank you!!!!!!!
BTW, the Apple Store did the migration assistant operation for me, but obviously it didn't work (it didn't work for MS Office either), so licensing must have been the problem, along with the fact i had no service pack installed. Good to go now though 🙂
