Can you copy dim/text/multileader styles between files?

How? I tried copy/paste no dice.

Aha - you have to give it a discreet name & save first in the copy file. I had altered the "Annotative" defaults. You have to change the name from Annotative for the copy/paste to overwrite in the destination file.

This seems to be the problem I am having. I'm unable to successfully follow your recommendation: could you please elaborate?
thanks

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,
If you have in the source drawing file multileader with the same style name as in target drawing (in fact multileader properties can be essentially different) and you paste multileader from the source drawing to target drawing it will take all the properties from multileader in target drawing.
You need at first to rename multileader style in one of the drawings, than you will have two multileader styles in target drawing after you paste multileader from source drawing.
