CAD LT 2013 MAC reference issue

I recently downloaded the trail lt version 2013 for mac. Ive been running LT 2012 on a windows and has worked great but when its comes to x references on the mac im having some issues. everytime i go into my xref command to load some dwgs some of them are coming up with the name IDS_XATTACH_CPP_2  and i dont have any files named that and for example ill select building type 2 parcell f which is the name is the doccument. once i click ok and go to drop it on my model space it changes name and its a totaly different dwg. Its not just the one dwg its multiple references.

If anyone knows why this may be happeneing please help out

thanks!

i posted 2 pictures of the file being selected and then what it changes to

Hi,

Looks like AutoCAD doesn't like something in the name of DWG file you try to attach and generate suitable name for Xref. Look for EXTNAMES system variable for explanations.

Hey Maxim thanks for the input, but i just tried changing the names to something simple and still everytime i go to xref a file it automatically changes it to IDS_XATTACH_CPP_2 thus making duplicates on every file i reference

Even if you rename it to "1.dwg"?
Where are these files? On local disk or on network drive?

Could you post here the full name of one of your files?

Comma not allowed in named object names (Xref in your case), so AutoCAD generates new name for Xref.

Another thing is that when you insert next external reference with a different name (that also doesn't allowed) AutoCAD doesn't generate new name for new Xref, assign the same name and as a result inserts the new instance of the first Xref. This looks like a bug.
