Batch Plotting PDF - 24x36 layout printing to 11x17 (PDf)

Hi,

Was wondering if someone might be able to find out what might be causing the issues for me.

As corporate standard we always print to PDF.  I have a dwg file that has 4 layouts, 3 of which are 11x17 and one that is 24x36.  When I batch plot, the 24x36 layout is plotted to a PDF of 11x17 size (truncates total drawing).  But when I individial plot print the 24x36 to PDF it turns out fine.

Any ideas or suggestions?

PS.  There's an option in batch plotting that says "Page setup detail : Override output device specified in current page setup and publi..."  ,  I'm wondering if this might have something to do with it, and how can I modify it so that it won't override the output device, and plot using the page setup details for that layout instead.

Thanks.

Hi,

There is knowing bug in AutoCAD for Mac since 2011 version: it doesn't
allow to output correctly multiple layouts to single multipage PDF file if
these layouts have different page sizes.
I use batch publish to multiple PDF files and then use Preview application
to combine them to single PDF (by dragging all PDF files to thumbnail
section of "master" PDF.

Thanks for the info!

I'll have to do it by "Create individual PDFs per layout" option.

I hope autodesk fixes this bug soon.

Hi

I am experiencing the same problem with the top and right edges trimmed/ truncated as seen in the attachment.

I tried using single sheet. Can somebody tell me what could be the problem?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,
Have you tried to use Custom paper size in Page Setup with zero margins?

Hi Maxim

Just a few minutes ago I figured out the solution myself. I created custom paper with custom margins in autocad default plotter dwg to pdf.pc3 as that's the default plotter which autocad uses when we try to batch plot to pdf.

Appreciate your help though. Thanks.
