Autocad for mac 2014?

Does anyone have any idea when it'll be released?

Or will it even be released?

Should be released later this year.

Fall schedule for Mac versions so far, so it's fair toassume it's the same this year.

Didn't r2013 come out about Feb/March 2012? I would have thought the next release is due now.

Shaan is wrong- AutoCAD for Mac 2013 was released at the same time as Windows version:

Yes I know it came out the same time last year, hence I was expecting it to be released around now.

Not to put words in anyone's mouth, but if Shaan is wrong then where is 2014MAC?

Fact is it's not out in any flavor, and the only inside guy amongst us outsiders says it's later in the year. Let the conspiracy theories begin, I can't wait to see what you all come up with 🙂

With any luck they're putting some effort into fixing mac autocad's endless list of bugs + missing features. It might actually become production ready then. Either that or they don't really plan on supporting it long term (again.)

I think most would be happy if all of the Windows AutoCAD features showed up in the MAC version 🙂

Is that an official 'hint'? Smiley Wink I would be happy if they could improve the graphics drivers to get rid of the scene tearing when 'swiping' between spaces and make it usable in 3d (if that is the problem). Granted I have an HD4000, but I can't even rotate models that are completely fluid in competing software. That and fix the pdf export feature, half of my lines disapear (especially circles) when I export.

let's hope for something...  I would hate to pay another 500 bucks to renew my subscription and not get it till 2015 at which point, I think I would be out 1500 bucks in subscription fees!

OK. Micah Dickerson was asked on 2014 release date twice and said nothing. Does he think he's working on some sort of new top secret bomb? Is he a retard or what?

Well, I think it was mostly to quell any fears that since they didn't relase it the with PC version they were dropping the product line. Autodesk always hs their timeframes, but they don't announce the release date until they announce the product officially. Looking at the previous release dates:

2011 - Oct 2010

2012 - August 2011    (10 months)

2013 - March 2012     (7 months)

2014 - ???                  (13 months and counting)

I think based on looking at it they rushed 2013 out the door quickly (though it was much more stable than the previous releases) but they are probably leaning towards a late summer / fall release.

Just my 2 cents.

Micah Dickerson said: With AutoCAD for Mac we want to be more aligned with Apple’s OS X roadmap.
