Hi,
I've used autocad mac version some years now, and I've never had this problem before yester day when it 'suddenly' appeared. I have a quite simple (only 2D) drawing, not to big either. I've always used the print dialogue to --> save as pdf and now it doesn't work anymore. I've reinstalled the newest version, copied the file, but it still crashes. I tried to search the internet for answers but no luck. I've been able to save this drawing as a PDF several times before.
Some help?
I print from model space --> window --> and then choose the scale. It does not work from layout space either. It crashes when I've named the PDF file, and a box whit the plot job process appear.
I run version 10.7.5 - but as mentioned, I've been able to save a PDF before on this version
Thanks!
// attached my page set up screenshot, completely basic. I never use CTB files, and the process when it crashes (plot job process)
Hi Else,
I don't see anything special on screenshots, maybe something wrong in your DWG?
Have you tried to run AUDIT command and fix errors in your file (if any)?
Can you post your file here or send it to my email: mkanaev at yandex.ru ?
Then I'll be able to investigate the file in more details.

Hi Else,
I have tried to save to PDF from your DWG and got no crashes at all on my Mac.
I also notice, that you didn't create Page Setup for Model space in your drawing via Page Setup manager (menu File-> Page Setup manager...-> then click on "+" in dialog to create and save named Page setup. Try this, maybe it will help.
And another question - did you reconfigure System Printer device in Mac OS System Preferences since last successful PDF save attempt?
Are you able now to save PDF from other drawings?
Maxim
I deleted all my page setup layout to see if there was a problem in one of them. But I reconfigured the printer settings - I really don't want to print, just save it as an pdf (then later put it in illustrator or photoshop). Don't know any other way to save a pdf than through print??
But im suspecting something is wrong with my pdf reader. Im not able to save pdf from another drawing either. What kind of 'link' is between autocad and pdf? Does it use adobe pro? adobe reader? can these settings be reconfigured?
AutoCAD uses current System Printer from Mac OS System preferences (Epson1776FC on your case?) for real printing and for saving to PDF. I think you have to try to use different default System Printer, or try to reset printing system in Print & Scan pane of Mac OS System preferences and reinstall your current Printer
Personally, I use this printer driver:
Gutenprint and Gimp-Print for Mac OS X (10.2 through 10.8 and later)
Here are instructions for installation:

Tried it all, and there is nothing wrong with my printer driver. Im kind of really really stuck.
I am not even able to open the file on a windows computer.
I dont kow if you know what else I can do?

Why? I can open it in Windows version of AutoCAD.
And once more about printing/saving to PDF from AutoCAD for Mac:
As I understand from some moment you can not save to PDF (or print) from AutoCAD on your Mac. Correct?
How AutoCAD crashes?
Do you see Customer Error Report window? Or it just freezes and you have to Force quit AutoCAD?
Do you see some warning messages from AutoCAD?
What do you see in System log in Console.app when AutoCAD crashes when you try to save PDF?
