Autocad 2014 Mac LIST command in pop up

Hi all,

I recently moved from using CAD on pc to mac. There are numerous differences that I'll have to get used to but one of the things that is really troubling me is when I use the LIST command, it shows the info in the command line (which than maximizes to show all the info). I would really like to get back the pop up screen which displays the requested info. Any help on how to configure this?

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately not possible in AutoCAD for Mac.
Why do you ask about this?

Do you want to use LIST command output for some purpose?

If you need, I can provide small AutoLISP routine which can open LIST command output in Textedit application and simulate Windows-like pop-up window on Mac.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

In attachment you can find AutoLISP routine.

After loading it you will have new command CMD_WIN in AutoCAD.

At first it asks to select objects for which you want to use LIST command, after you complete selection - hit Return - in e few seconds Textedit application will open with the results of LIST command.

Here is some additional information:

- you need to close file in Textedit before using CMD_WIN command for the next time

- if you select a lot of objects it may take a considerable period of time before you can see the results in Textedit

- the routine uses AutoCAD log file to collect information from LIST command, log files created in "~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/local/AutoCAD 2014/R19.1/enu" folder for each DWG file individually and doesn't deleted automatically, so you can sometimes manually "cleanup" this folder from .LOG files.
