Autocad 2013 for mac (student versions) crashes after simple tasks preformed

Hi There,

I am having a very strange issue with my CAD - it crashes after everytime i try and edit a dimension format or change the unit set up or any other small and simple task.  I have unistalled and reinstalled it twice as well as reinstalled the service pack.  On Autocad for Windows you are able to access that screen where you are able to reinstall/add to/ and repair.  How does one access that in the mac version? And bar that - how do I fix this issue becuase i cant do any work with out it suddenly shutting down.

Please advise asap.

Thanks,

Jessica

Hi Jessica,

How AutoCAD crashes? Do you see CER (Customer Error Report) dialog after crash? If you see, did you send the report to Autodesk?

About Reinstall-Repair function on Mac. Although there is no such functionality, you can uninstall AutoCAD completely with "Remove AutoCAD" application, which located inside Autodesk/AutoCAD 2013 folder. If you want to "reset" everything before new installation, you have to uncheck "Leave AutoCAD preferences" option on second dialog during removing AutoCAD. After removing application you can install it again.
