Hi,

Could you check whether MenuGroup.cui, PopMenuRoot.cui, Workflow.cui files are in place inside "~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/roaming/AutoCAD 2013/R19.0/enu/Support" folder?

The files are inside Library folder in your home folder, but by default it is HIDDEN, to reach it you have to hold Option key and Use the “Go” Menu in Finder ( http://osxdaily.com/2011/07/22/access-user-library-folder-in-os-x-lion/ ).

Could you find the files now?

This explains everything (I mean absence of the menu and tool sets in your case).

This could be permissions problem, because AutoCAD on first start copies these files to user support folder from inside application folder (/Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2012/AutoCAD.app/Contents/Resources), but in your case AutoCAD can not do this.

You can try to "Reset Application Options" from Application tab of "Application Preferences" dialog (menu AutoCAD -> Preferences, if you don't have such menu - with command PREF)

If this doesn't help - try to solve the problem by repairing permissions on Library folder in your home folder.

You can also try to manually copy CUI files to "~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/roaming/AutoCAD 2013/R19.0/enu/Support", but I'm not sure if it exists on your Mac - if you have permissions problems, then this folder may not be in place at all.

Hi JPV,

Glad I can help you, but:

One moment, please.

Could you assist me in further investigation of this issue?

If yes - could you try to make some customization to ToolSets or Menus with CUI command?

Does AutoCAD allow this and saves changes you made?

Thanks in advance,

Maxim

Hi Maxim -

I am having the same problem that you helped Jorge with, but I don't have the necessary .cui files in my applications folder in order to manually move them. How does one get those files?

Hi Andi,

You can try the solution form this place:

http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2011/10/autocad-2012-mac-autocad-error-aborting.html

It is about AC 2012 and in the case described there the program terminates abnormally, but the author offers a solution to something similar to your case.
Try
to download attached ZIP archive and extract Autodesk folder from this archive into /users/YOUR-USERNAME/Library folder.

The folders and files structure in attached archive is exactly the same, that should be created on the first run of AutoCAD 2013 for Mac.

But I have to say: it seems to me -  definitely on your MAC is something wrong with permissions.

Hey,

I'm on Autocad LT 2013 with OSX Mountain Lion

I have the same issue on screen, although all the CUI files are (and were) where they should be.

I tried to reset the tool bar (wich is empty of any icons) and it did reset the settings (Tools<Customise<Interface CUI), but not the display(Toolbar) wich is still empty.

I now lost my personal settings AND didn't get the display back 🙂 What a wonderfull day !

I would be glad if anyone can help who knows what may be happening, ... before i give up and reinstall the application ! LOL

Thank you

Ben

Wich files do I have to copy to the "/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/roaming/AutoCAD 2013/R19.0/enu/Support" folder ?
There are already the files: "/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/roaming/AutoCAD 2012/R18.2/enu/Support"

Thanks

Can someone please tell me where I can find the CUI files ?
Message 20 of 36

I did the following steps: First off al I installed AutoCAD 2013 for Mac on Mountain Lios OSX. Then I download your archive from your post. I copied the files into -> Library/Application Support/Autodesk.. but still no toolbars or pallets 😞 I also tried to "Reset Application Option". Did I forgot something ?
