AutoCAD 2013 Mac crashes when opening dwg file

Hi all,

I'm having a slight problem with opening a dwg file of mine, last time I had it open and saved it, it crashed the program, now it will not open at all, I have tried all the different things to fix it like recover, insert etc. but it just keeps crashing cad.

I tried opening it on my windows laptop to see if it would open but it still didn't work, but this time I actually got an error saying Fatal Error: Out of Memory - Shutting down, could the same problem be occuring on my Mac as well that it is out of memory, even though it has double both Ram and graphic card memory that my laptop has?

It is only this file and another file associated with it that crashes the program, my other files open fine.

Please help I really need my drawing for an assignment.

Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi,

Have you tried to recover (RECOVER command) the drawing on PC (Windows version of AutoCAD)?

Looks like it is unrecoverable...
If you want, you can send it to my email:mkanaev at yandex.ru. Can look at it.

Thank you for the offer, but as I have a submission tomorrow, I think it would be quicker for me to redo the drawing than to waste more time trying to fix the file 🙂
