HI,
I've downloaded several Autodesk 2013 trials on my iMac OSX 10.7.4 Lion. They install normally, but when I attempt to open them, they dissapear from the dock very fast, like a crash. Only, there is no crash report, no error messages.
If I can't open a simple trial version, think how this reflects with selling me your product.

Try Microstation"
It's not my job to decipher issues with software. My Mac runs every other company's software perfectly.

Hi,
Are there AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT among "several Autodesk 2013 trials"?
This Forum for AutoCAD only...
If it is AutoCAD:
1. Do you see window with "Activate - Run as trial" choice just after starting application?
2. If you don't see it, then there may be a problem with license manager.
3. Do you have any Adobe applications installed on your Mac?
4. If you have them, then try this solution from my blog: AutoCAD for MAC and Adobe software
There could be a lot of reasons for "startup failure" of AutoCAD most of them related to permissions problems...

Hi,
Could you answer to my 3 questions in message # 4?
Could you post Console log during launching AutoCAD (contents of system.log or All messages)? You can find Console.app inside Utilities folder of Applications folder.

"1. Do you see window with "Activate - Run as trial" choice just after starting application?"
-No. When you install AutoCAD (or any other AutoDesk app for Mac) the trial or liscense data is entered when you install the application. And technically, the application doesn't even start. AutoCAD hangs at the splash screen. When launching the other autodesk apps, it shows the splash screen for a split second then dissappears off the application dock in OSX.
"2. If you don't see it, then there may be a problem with license manager."
-OK, let's get this fixed, because I can't even load the trial software AutoDesk products
"3. Do you have any Adobe applications installed on your Mac?"
-Yes, several.
"4. If you have them, then try this solution from my blog: AutoCAD for MAC and Adobe software."
-Those steps do not fix the problem. I followed them precisely. All AutoDesk products crash at launch, including AutoCAD 2013 for Mac
What about Console output during AutoCAD launching ?

It is absolutely clear that the case is in LMU (License Manager Utility) and it appears that you missed the last strings from your console output - something like this:
...com.apple.launchd.peruser.503[137] ([0x0-0x40040].com.autodesk.AutoCAD[485]): Exited with code: 255
...LMU[473]: exiting and supressing hooks: 0
Have you tried this solution?

Maxim,
Thanks for posting the link to that article. That definately solved the problem I was having with a high profile user as well. Time Machine was definately in the picture and I left the folder alone because of the adobe node lock file sitting in there. I was reluctant to do anything to the "/Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher" folder.
I was having the symptoms of the activation/trial screen never coming up and yet I was able to set the install to network mode and successfully obtain a network license when needed. But standalone was a brick wall till I moved forward with the folder move and re-install.
Steps Taken Were as Follows:
* Deleting folders as noted:
/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/
/Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/
* Installed as Trial
* Ran Maya as Trial
* Made sure Macbook was on public network before activating. (Company Proxy Server Doesn't Play Nice With Activation Utility)
* Then registered afterwards by choosing Activate instead of Try.
Copied adobe node lock file back to the /Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/FLEXnet folder location.
