AUTOCAD 2011 - Bouncing on MacBook Pro Desktop (Not loading program)

Hi,

Hopefully someone could be of some help.

I downloaded CAD on my MacBook Pro 2 years ago and it worked perfectly. Then I was using the program like I normaly do and it stopped working.

I tried to re-open the program and the AutoCAD logo bounces on the desktop and brings up the 'start screen' and then nothing.

Since then I have tried uninstalling the program and re-installing a number of times. Upgraded the OS X system on my laptop. (I have added a image of the load up window)

I am currently using the Version : OS X 10.9.1

This is really frustrating me, as I need to use the CAD program and it's preventing me from getting on with my work.

Any help would be greatful.

Kirst 🙂

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!
Hi Kirst,

AutoCAD 2011 for Mac is not compatible with OS X 10.9 (and with 10.8.x too), it will not run on this OS.

I have downloaded the lastest version of AutoCAD (2014) and it is still bouncing on the desktop.

Like something is preventing it from opening. 😞

Hope someone can help.

Sorry to be a pain, but now it's saying :

''The application ''AutoCAD2014'' can't be opened.

-1712

The Mac OS X System Error Code -1712 means that the application has timed out.
Try to open “Force Quit Applications” with command + option + esc and Force Quit AutoCAD, then restart your Mac and try to launch AutoCAD again.

Hi Kirst,

In fact it is not really bad idea to restart you Mac at least once a week 😉
