using 3d solid in asd 2012 problem..

hi everyone..

i have problem using 3d solid things in asd 2012..

i draw 3d model of my  retaining wall and i use "use 3d solids" at the menu.."arbitrary element" properties...

then ASD give me 2 views automaticly....

but i want to see more views from different sides of models..

then i change UCS and creat more views from different sides but first and second group views have no relation with eachother.. then i can not see the reinforcements at second group of views when i put the reinforcements at the first group...

is there any way to make relation between those views??

how can i creat more then 2 view when i use " use 3d solids"  options..

what we can do with the "multiple of element" properites under that menu??

please check the photos for understand what i mean...

please some one help me!!

I am affraid that only 2 views might be integrated, so you rather showed us best possible solution with changing CS.

You do not want to apply the reinforcement to 3D elements, don't you?

The individual projections are rather to have to draw the reinforcement there, not the solid block.

i draw my own 3d model of my retaining wall... and by using "use 3D solid" option in ASD 2012, i produce 2d viewes of my wall..
now i want to draw surface reinforcements on my wall...
but i can not do that because i can not choise the surface which i want...
i showed and put the lines to the surface which i want to put surface reinforcements..
how can i choise the surface which i want and that surface is not straight.

To modify this positions please try to manipulate the cover value.

Check attached instruction on movie.

thanks for your help..

but that reinforcements must be at the slope face.. your solution can be work for straight  face...

how can i put them slope face of wall with the sam slope?

It is not possible to differentiate the element thickness on which reinforcement is distributed.

Hence it is not possible to extract the sloped reinforcement on cross section.

Try to use "Create Linear Element" option,

Select the option from:

Menu: Reinforcement > Structure elements - reinforcement > Create linear element.

Then use "Insert Linear Element" option,

Select the option from:

Menu: Reinforcement > Structure elements - reinforcement > Insert linear element.

Otherwise, having the "Developed elevation of the retaining wall" will help you to do what you want using the "Surface distribution - bars" option.

"Developed elevation of the retaining wall" can be obtained easily using the UCS and views commands of AutoCAD.

Abbakeer
