Leader Descriptors and Templates Customization

Hi All,

My problem is with leader descriptor, whenever I choose one of the templates from the preliminarily defined existing ones, the leader descriptor and anything related to the part definiton are very small compared to the original single part and it lands far away from place where It's supposed to be . It clearly shows that there is the proportional mismatch in the leader descriptor. I've tried to change configuration in the leader settings but that didn't help me a lot?

There is also another issue with templates, If I want to customize the preliminarily defined templates how am I supposed to add, say a cut from , different view ?

Your help will be appreciated?

Could you please show it on any graphics or video recordings?

Here are the screenshots.

The green lines are landings of the leaders and the red dots at the end of green lines are texts of leaders, there is really something wrong with proportional representation of it.

I've tried to modify the settings in the ASD-Model ribbon, both (Project Settings and Settings) but that didn't help me. I also tried to modify the leader configuration usiing the traditional way from ACAD,  leader style, dimenison style etc..

Regards,

it looks like we could be having a template/localation mismatch.  Are you working in a metric environment or imperial?  Which template did you start with?

Forgot about the second part of your question, here's a post I wrote in another thread, if you need more, just let me know!

to add a detail view, you have to first create the "document" with the detial view available.  Let say that you took your model and did a group on it, now to create the documents with the group, you right click, attach document.  Those views listed, none of them have a "detail" view out of the box.

First, click on the Templates layout tab at the bottom of the screen

From the inspector, goto the Templates Tab and find Group - top view (or side view etc), double click it to make it active (yellow) and then expand it out.  Inside there you will see Top view only (for example) and the drawing screen will update to show a single viewport

Right click on the Group -top view, and click add view

From the dialog, select Cross-Section/Details view., give it a name, then click OK.  This will add a new viewport, ready for you to position, to the template.  Add as many as you need.  Word to the wise, try not to overlap them.  Resize them as needed.

Once you have all your view in place, go back to the Edition layout, and add a new document using your new template (Group - Top View) and you'll notice that the original still populates, but now you have open slots to do the other views.

Let me know if you have any other questions, or if anything doesn't make sense.

Regarding the creation of a new template.

There is another topic "Scaling problem in ASD" in which I've placed 2 links to movies made by me for helping the others to create a new Template.

My question now:

After you create a Custom view in a template, how do you set it up to fill the whole screen when using the "

RBCT_FULLSCREEN_ON" command? Because if I use that command on my created views, it only show on part of the screen.
