How to weld structural rond?

Hi,

To begin sorry for my English, I'm from France. Actually student I have to realise the drawing of a link between several rond (similar to the picture enclosed).

So it's rond welded together.

I downloaded AutoCAD Structural Detailing yesterday and tried to work with today. I succeed to realise a lot of assemblage but no weld.

When I try to weld to rond the following message appear: "Any pair of objects has not correct contact!".

So I try to connect the rond but I always have the same message.

Did I make a mistake?

Is it possible to realise this kind of connection (rond welded together)?

Maybe sharing a model would be better?

I could check it on real example then.

You can find enclosed two pictures of the assemblage made on Google Sketchup.

I also enclosed a begin of my work on Autocad Structural Detailing. Could you check it?
