Customization of Connection

Is there any way to create the connection of structures to our need in ASD?, we need to customize more connections apart from the 65 nos which is avilable in the software. Please do help, I m new to ASD.

It can't be done. ASD doesn't accept User's macros.

I do it all the time. What kind of connection are you looking to create? 


There are little ways to trick the system :smileywink:

Greetings, I'm interested too,

you know the way to create or customize connections? ....or just to trick them, it does no matter.

In my case the problem is that ASD does not recognize girder plate profiles as valid objects to make many connections : column-underside of beam / beam-column horizontal splice / beam (girder plate)-purlins...can you help me?

I've tried switching locations between profiles, no success, by this way just some connections are solved but others can't be done.

In the attachment I have an example of a Connection. You say that I can reuse this connection in another Project?

Or can I make a Custom macro out of this Connection?


If yes, please (briefly) tell me how.
