1. There was indeed an issue with the Advance Steel download links a couple of days ago, but it was fixed and you can download or install the program from the website without any problems. 

2. License message error : Advance Steel 2015 standalone licence (Trial lic. is considered standalone) doesn't work with an AutoCAD version that works with a network license. You need either a network license of Advance Steel 2015, or a trial / standalone version of AutoCAD to be able to start it.

3. Platform selection. By default Advance Steel 2015 sets itself during installation to start with AutoCAD platform (and if multiple AutoCAD installations are detected, it will always start with the last used AutoCAD). To control which AutoCAD is used for Advance Steel, you need to first start the respective AutoCAD version alone, close it, and then start Advance Steel. To choose a different platform for Advance Steel, you need to open "Management Tools 2015" (found in "All programs / Autodesk / Advance Steel 2015"), go to "Options" and change the settings under "Advance Steel Software behaviour" category.
