Specify one-pick point or [2P]:
No valid raster found.
Thats all I get when I try to vectorize lines on a high resolution image. If the quality of the image I'm using isn't good enough, then something is really wrong with this software. The image is a JPG attached using IMAGEATTACH. Is there some trick to this?
Invalid image type. This command only works on bitonal images. What?! Can't it just vectorize the damn thing?? Message was edited by: blz2

You need to convert the image to bitonal before vectorizing.
IDEPTH command

So to recap
You didn't know the limits of the software. Nothing really wrong with that,
everyone gets surprised.
Then the 'worthless program' tells you the exact problem. Invalid image
type. Nothing about quality or how it's attached. You used the wrong type
of picture. Again, you didn't know, move on.
Now for the clincher. The still 'worthless' program tells you how to solve
your issue. No ifs, ands or buts. Bitonal image. Worse thing you will
have to do, since you haven't done it yet, is use the help menu to learn how
to convert an image.
And to top it off you may have known about the bitonal issue after your
12/10/07 'no raster found' post.
You are right. Completely worthless.
Phil & Petri,
He meant to say 'Thank you for your help. Maybe as a wish list item, could
we get color vectorization.'
Keep up the good work,
Pat
