Can someone please explain the difference between Raster Design and Cad overlay. Do they do the same functions with raster files or totally different.
Thanks, any links to documentation on both software products will be greatly appreciated. Autodesk seems to promote only their recent releases and are vague on explaining their different software packages and specific use.
Cheers

It basically breaks down to this: with each Autocad
version there is a raster program that works with it. You have to have
matching programs. For instance Raster Design2004 works only with Autocad
2004. With each release there are some improvements.

Most of the improvements listed are those native to Autocad
2004. Though there may be some improvements to the base code. I've used it and
am very pleased.
