    RD 2004 Error

I have installed RD 2004 on Land Desktop 2004
in a PC with WinXP Pro SP1.
(All hotfixes for O.S., IE 6 SP1 and Land Desktop 2004 are also installed)

When I try to detach an image with MANAGE command ( RD menu ), the program
send a FATAL ERROR : "Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0010 Exception at
    644fbe53h"
The others selections in MANAGE command works well ( Unload, Reload )
So I use Image Manager command ( AutoCAD Insert Menu ) to workaround the
    problem.

Can anyone help on this problem ?

    Hi Panos,

This is a known issue and you have identified one of the work-arounds.
Please see the following solution for more information:

Thanks a lot for your response.
An other general question about bugs in Raster Design is that we read a lot
of answers from Autodesk moderators that these bugs are by design but never
Autodesk released any Service Pack for Cad Overlay or Raster Design.
Is there any posibility to change this policy in the immediate future ?
    Thanks again

    Panos,

I'd like to assure you that the need for a service pack is very carefully
considered by many departments against many factors. There is a great
amount of effort involved in releasing a service pack: determination of
issues to be addressed, making those changes, testing those changes, testing
to make sure that those changes have not had a negative affect on anything
else in the product or other products, etc... Issues may be fixed either in
a service pack or in the next release. Each "opportunity" for a service
pack has and will be carefully considered by the appropriate teams.

Although there have been no full service packs for Raster Design, there have
been several individual issues addressed by individual updates under the
Raster Design Data & Downloads area
    (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/index?siteID=123112&id=2334435&l
inkID=2476535). There are currently no updates or service packs available
    for Raster Design 2004.
