Does "burn in rotation" alter the color space?

    Hello,

I found the little bug ?

I have a 256 color scaned map. It is georeferenced with rotation.
    1. I made a crop and save it with export without burn in rotation.
    2. I converted tot grayscale via histograms and I exported it without burn
    in rotation.
    3. I checked the file with ACDSee and I got properties colo:256 grayscale.
    OK.

    4. I exported again the grayscale image but now with "burn in rotation"
    checked.
    5. I checked file with ACDSee and I got properties color: 256 !!! ?

Now, I try to put them in the same ric (MG Raster Workshop), I got below
    error message.
"The color space of image : ... path xxx.tif does not match that of the
first file referenced by the raster image catalog."

Does "burn in rotation" alter the color space?

    Thanks!

    Raster Desgin R3.

    No.

I tried this on Raster Design 2004.
    1. I inserted SanFran.tif (from the samples dir).
    2. I used Histogram to convert to grayscale.
    3. I exported the image to orig.tif
    4. I rotated the image.
    5. I exported with burn in rotation to new.tif.
    6. I inserted both images into AutoCAD.

In Tools->Properties, both images are listed as grayscale.

I loaded both images into Paint Shop Pro. Both images are grayscale.

Please try with Raster Design R3 (Autodesk Map Series R5), Check with ACDSee
and try to make a ric for MG. As I found the problem.
I can post the 2 sample on customer file.

    Thanks!
