I am attempting to install my new Stand alone copy of Raster Design 2010 onto my Workstation running AutoCAD 2010 on a Network License. I completed the installation; however, whenever I try to start Raster Design it can not find a license. It also is not giving me the Activation Screen that the website to register the product says it should be giving me.

New to the AutoCAD 2010 releases is a circumstance where the license type must be the same for an Autodesk add-on application such as AutoCAD Raster Design on AutoCAD (read on for a mixed mode that can work). Install method is also important for AutoCAD Raster Design 2010 when both AutoCAD and AutoCAD Raster Design 2010 use stand-alone licenses.
Stand-alone versions of AutoCAD Raster Design 2010:
- If the AutoCAD 2011 or AutoCAD 2011 based vertical, that customers are installing AutoCAD Raster Design 2011 on, uses a network license customers will need to install AutoCAD Raster Design 2011 as a network license. Before doing this, customers will need to contact the Autodesk Business Center and have Autodesk uplift the serial number to a network license, acquire a license file, and configure the network license manager. The Autodesk Business Center will do this without the usual fee for uplifting stand-alone licenses to network licenses for this specific stand-alone AutoCAD Raster Design 2010 on AutoCAD 2010 or AutoCAD 2010 based vertical circumstance only.
- When installing a stand-alone version of AutoCAD Raster Design 2010 on a stand-alone version of AutoCAD 2010 the install method must be the same:
- a. If you have installed AutoCAD from a Deployment you must install AutoCAD Raster Design from a Deployment.
- b. If you have installed AutoCAD from the DVD or download you must install AutoCAD Raster Design from a DVD or download.
Network versions of AutoCAD Raster Design:
The circumstance where network versions of AutoCAD Raster Design 2010 are installed on stand-alone versions of AutoCAD 2010, or AutoCAD 2010 based verticals, will work after installing the Raster Design 2010 Hotfix for Licensing and Civil 3D Feature Update.
