would like Rasterdesign 2008 to launch when Autocad drawing opens

I have Rasterdesign 2008 and Autocad 2008 on my computer,
I would like to have Rasterdesign Launch whenever an autocad
drawing file is opened.
At present if i double click on a drawing file- the drawing will open
in Autocad without activating Rasterdesign - how can i get Rasterdesign
to open automatically, with out having to manually open it by
double clicking on the desktop icon.

Thanks for any help.

Raster Design should automatically load once you issue a raster command. There is no need to launch from the desktop icon.

Thank for the reply Matt -
When i do issue a raster command - i get an error message - and no raster commands are possible -
So i have to close out Autocad and open Rasterdesign using the desktop icon in order to get it to work.
I can't rememeber the exact error message - as i am away from my job computer. (but i believe it is looking for an AeciUi51.arx file or something like that, I will have to check the exact error message)

But the main issue is that when ever i open a raster file it will open autocad but it never launches the rasterdesign commands.
The commands appear but when selected - the error message comes up. (is this normal or is there some other issue).

In my previous response I mentioned the message that I got when opening a raster file

This was incorrect. (I've had a chance to check the exact messege)

It reads:

"AeciRemUi51.arx cannot find a dll or other file that it needs"

This occurs after the raster file has opened - when i try to select
a raster command.

Any idea how to correct this?

You are more than likely missing a path statement in Acad.

Search your system for that missing file, then add that path to AutoCAD
thru Tools > Options > Files tab > Support File Search Path

After that, RD should start when you access one of the Image commands in
Acad.

Yes, the support file search path problem is common. It seems that some service packs end up removing the Raster paths.
